Public Interest Job of the Week – White House Internship Program

The President, First Lady, and staff are committed to providing young leaders from all across the nation an opportunity to develop their leadership skills and gain exposure to the public service sector through the White House Internship Program. This program was developed to provide hands-on experience and cultivate such skills. The Office seeks undergraduate and graduate students for full-time summer internships (tentatively May 28 – August 9). Placements are available in a variety of offices, such as Office of Chief of Staff, Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, Legislative Affairs, Domestic Policy Council, among others. Beyond experiencing day-to-day operations of the White House, interns will enjoy a speaker series, tours, participation in community service projects, and various White House events.

The application deadline is January 27, 2013. For more information about the internship and application instructions, log into the Government Honors & Internship Handbook (available via your Symplicity homepage). For questions, please contact Bhavika Shah in the Career Development Office.
