Swearing-In Ceremony in Dallas

The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers’ Law Student Assistance Committee is hosting another Swearing-In Ceremony, open to all law students who have recently passed the Texas bar exam.  Families of the newly licensed attorneys are also encouraged to attend.  Justice Lana Myers of the 5th District Court of Appeals for the State of Texas has graciously agreed to conduct the ceremony.

As in the past, all attendees will receive important information related to being a first-year attorney. This is a great alternative to the Swearing-In Ceremony in Austin for those who are unable or choose not to travel.  It is also a great opportunity for soon-to-be Dallas lawyers to learn more about the Dallas legal community.

Students who have recently taken the Texas bar exam are welcome to attend. Details of the Ceremony are as follows:

Date:           May 15, 2013 at 4:00 p.m.
Location:    Belo Mansion
                    2101 Ross Avenue
                    Dallas, Texas 75201
(Parking available for a small fee)

It is important that each student bring their letter from the State Bar indicating that they have met all of the requirements and are ready to take the oath.

Those interested in attending should contact Cherie Harris at cherieh@dayl.com.
