Upper Class Student Mentoring Program

The University of Houston Law Center announces the start of the Upper Class Student Mentoring Program. Lawyers from the Houston area will serve as mentors to offer guidance to students as they prepare to enter the legal world. To the extent possible, students will be matched with an attorney based on practice area of interest and law firm/organization preference.

Those interested in participating need to fill out the online participation form at law.uh.edu/mentor. The program is primarily for 3L students but other upper level students may participate, subject to availability.

Deadline to submit the form is September 20. Also, mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 15 at 5:30 pm for the Mentoring Kick-Off, which will be held in the 14th Court of Appeals courtroom at the newly refurbished Harris County courthouse. At the Kickoff, mentors and mentees will have an initial opportunity to meet. More details to come about that event.
