Are you looking for a way to fund your spring internship? Consider
participating in the Work Study
Program. Students must be working for one of the following
organizations: (1) Harris County District Attorney’s Office, (2) Harris County
Attorney’s Office, (3) Lone Star Legal Aid, (4) Harris County Public Defender’s
Office, (5) City of Houston Legal Department, (6) Texas Civil Rights Project, (7) U.S. Customs and Border
Patrol, Office of the Associate Chief Counsel, or (8) Fort Bend County District
Attorney’s Office.
Students who have secured a volunteer position with our
partner organizations and can demonstrate financial need may be eligible to
receive $15/hour through the UHLC Work Study Program. Applications for Spring 2014 are due on November 30th. The number of work study awards is
determined by the amount of funding the Law Center receives from main campus,
which varies each semester. More information about the application
process can be found at: http://www.law.uh.edu/pil/workstudy.asp
