Are you looking for a way to fund your summer internship? Consider
participating in the Work Study Program. Students must be working for one of the following
organizations: (1) Harris County District Attorney’s Office, (2) City of
Houston Legal Department, (3) Harris County Public Defender’s Office, (4)
Harris County Attorney’s Office, or
(5) U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, Office of the Associate Chief Counsel.
Students who have secured a volunteer position with our
partner organizations and can demonstrate financial need may be eligible to
receive $15/hour through the UHLC Work Study Program. Applications for Summer 2013
are due on April 30th. The number of
work study awards is determined by the amount of funding the Law Center
receives from main campus, which varies each semester. More information
about the application process can be found at: http://www.law.uh.edu/pil/workstudy.asp
