this summer are encouraged to join Professor Stalder’s Bar Survival Facebook
Group. The page is created for students to share tips and strategies for
maintaining their sanity during bar preparation and the job search beyond. Students

UHLC Graduate Fellowship Program
Deadline to Apply: May 19, 2014
The UHLC Graduate Fellowship Program is designed to make it
possible for our recent graduates who are dedicated to careers in public
service to pursue unpaid internships between August and November as they await
their bar results. The Law Center will provide up to $4,500 to a limited number
of recent graduates selected for a Graduate Fellowship with a government agency
or a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. For more information and application

Rosenberg Fellowship Program
The University of Houston is proud to announce its new,
long-term fellowship program, the Yale Leonard and Irene Merker Rosenberg
Fellowship Program. Through this program, select public interest organizations
will host a 2014 Law Center graduate to work with its office for a 13 month
period. This is a great way for our students to create a foothold in the legal

Association of Young Lawyer’s Swearing-In Ceremony

The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers’ Law Student Assistance
Committee is hosting a Swearing-In Ceremony, open to all individuals who have
recently passed the Texas bar exam and successfully completed all other
requirements necessary to be sworn in.
Families of the newly licensed attorneys are also encouraged to attend. Justice
Ada Brown of the 5th District Court of Appeals for the State of Texas has
graciously agreed to conduct the ceremony.
This is a great alternative to the Swearing-In Ceremony in Austin for
those who are unable or choose not to travel.
It is also a great opportunity for these soon-to-be Dallas lawyers to
learn more about the Dallas legal community.

Lavender Law Career Fair

The National LGBT Bar
Association’s annual Lavender Law Career Fair is designed to achieve a sense of
community and inclusion for LGBT candidates within the legal profession’s
recruiting efforts. By participating in this career fair, candidates will talk
directly to LGBT-friendly recruiters from law firms, government agencies, LGBT
rights groups, and corporate legal departments. Over 450 candidates and 150
recruiters representing law firms, government agencies and non-profit
organizations interested in diversity were present at the 2013 career fair in San
Francisco.
This year, Lavender Law will
take place on August 21 -23, 2014 at the Sheraton Times Square in New York
City. Online registration is currently open and students can register early for
