Dallas Association of Young Lawyers’ Law Student Assistance Committee Swearing-In Ceremony

From DAYL:

The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers’ Law Student Assistance Committee is hosting another Swearing-In Ceremony, open to all individuals who have recently passed the Texas bar exam and successfully completed all other requirements necessary to be sworn in.  Families of the newly licensed attorneys are also encouraged to attend.  Justice Douglas S. Lang and Justice Ada Brown of the 5th District Court of Appeals for the State of Texas have agreed to conduct the ceremony. After the ceremony, newly licensed attorneys and their family members are invited to attend an informal reception at the Belo Mansion with Justice Lang, Justice Brown and DAYL members.

As in the past, all attendees will receive important information related to being a first-year attorney. This is a great alternative to the Swearing-In Ceremony in Austin for those who are unable or choose not to travel.  It is also a great opportunity for these soon-to-be Dallas lawyers to learn more about the Dallas legal community.

Details of the Ceremony are as follows:

Date: Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 4:30 p.m.

Location: Belo Mansion
2101 Ross Avenue
Dallas, Texas 75201
(Parking available for a small fee)

RSVP directly to Cherie Harris at cherieh@dayl.com.   It is important that each student bring their letter from the State Bar indicating that they have met all of the requirements and are ready to take the oath.
